Portraits photography is still alive, and kicking.
The genre will survive until the last of the human being will stand.
Animals may not be conscious of their reproduced image, they rely on the other senses to identify themselves or others, but Man has always being fascinated by this visual abstraction.
You can look at will to the portrait of someone, something you choose not to do with the genuine article.
Education and instinct teach us not to stare at one another, but the image is free from this spell, and we can look at it as much as we please.
Somehow the portrait is going to tell us more about the person than an actual encounter might do, surely the image is going to create a magic of itself, a new reality of the person, at once eternal and overtaken by the living subject, already evolved and passed on.
I would like to specialize in this discipline, also thanks to this blog.
My approach is going to be an artistic interpretation of the individuals, and a research in the matter: the present blog is going to concentrate on portraits and thus on people.
Ideally I would like to make my subject feel at ease, in his own surroundings (home, workplace, favorite places), and then explore the situation at my own will.
The final result might not turn out as a purely pleasing image of the poser (it is not meant to be a commercial or aesthetic enterprise), but will hopefully capture some hidden aspects of the personality of the subject and the interaction with the photographer.
No payment is due to the portrayed person, and no fee is due to the photographer.
It has to be agreed that the pictures might be displayed on the Internet, shown in exhibitions, sold, or published on magazines and books.
The final selection of the files, as approved by the author, will be given also to the subject, who can use them as he wishes, as long as the name of the photographer is always mentioned.
People willing to participate might be turned down if they are not considered in line with the finalities of the project, and even finished pictures might be discarded if not considered up to the quality standard of the mission at hand, the final decision will always pertains to the photographer itself.
Being a research work, no guaranties are provided on the outcome of the shooting, and some of the pictures might not turn out at all because of technical issues.
The subject of the pictures might ask not to publish some specific pictures, with a written statement, if he thinks they are offensive or unacceptable.

La fotografia di ritratto è viva e vegeta.
Questa specializzazione resterà importante fintanto che ci sarà un singolo essere umano ancora in piedi.
Gli animali non sono coscienti della loro immagine riprodotta, si basano su altri sensi per identificare se stessi o gli altri, ma l'essere umano è sempre stato affascinato da questa astrazione visiva.
Si può osservare il ritratto di una persona quanto si vuole, cosa che scegliamo di non fare con il soggetto in carne ed ossa.
Educazione e istinto ci insegnano che non si deve fissare il prossimo, ma la sua immagine non soffre di questo incantesimo, e possiamo studiarla a piacere.
In un certo senso, il ritratto ci dirà di più su quella persona di quanto potrebbe fare un vero incontro, sicuramente l'immagine genera una magia tutta sua, si configura come una nuova realta di quella persona, al tempo stesso eterna e sorpassata dalla sopravvivenza del soggetto, già evolutosi e passato oltre lo stadio rappresentato.
Vorrei specializzarmi in questa disciplina, anche grazie a questo blog.
L'approccio sarà quello di una interpretazione artistica degli individui ed una ricerca in questo settore della fotografia: il blog si concentrerà sui ritratti, il che significa sulle persone.
Vorrei che il soggetto si sentisse a suo agio, calato nel suo stesso ambiente (casa, posto di lavoro, luogo preferito), così potrò esplorare la situazione a mio piacimento.
Il risultato non deve essere una piacevole immagine del modello (non sono spinto da finalità puramente commerciali o estetiche), ma vorrebbe catturare qualche aspetto nascosto del soggetto e della sua interazione con il fotografo.
Non è previsto alcun compenso per la persona fotografata, nè alcun pagamento del fotografo per le riprese.
Sarà preventivamente concordato che le immagini potranno essere liberamente mostrate su internet, durante mostre, cedute (a privati, Ditte, Enti), oppure pubblicate su riviste o libri, senza che nulla sia dovuto al soggetto fotografato.
Le immagini definitive, selezionate, modificate ed approvate dall'autore, sarnno cedute anche al soggetto fotografato (in formato JPEG, di media risoluzione e dimensione), che sarà libero di usarle a proprio piacimento, purchè compaia sempre il nome del fotografo.
Le persone interessate a partecipare all'iniziativa, potrebbero esserne escluse se non sono considerate in linea con le finalità del progetto; anche a lavoro ultimato, le immagini potrebbero essere scartate se ritenute inferiori al livello qualitativo imposto al progetto, queste decisioni sono ad insindacabile giudizio del fotografo.
Trattandosi di una ricerca artistica, non è offerta alcuna garanzia sulla buona riuscita delle riprese, tanto che alcune immagini potrebbero non concretizzarsi, in caso di eventuali problemi tecnici.
Il soggetto potrebbe richiedere (per iscritto) , di non diffondere determinate immagini (fanno testo i codici dei file attribuiti dalla fotocamera, la cui icona sarà barrata sulla scheda riassuntiva della seduta), che lui ritenga irrispettose oppure inaccettabili.

Per ragioni logistiche, l'iniziativa è limitata ad un raggio di 30 km. da Villa d'Adda (BG), salvo eventuali eccezzioni; per i minori di 18 anni è prevista la firma di approvazione da entrambi i genitori.
